Market Basket is a program of the Pike Place Market PDA, a non-profit, public corporation which, among other things, strives to expand local farm produce retailing in the Market. The Pike Place Market Basket creates opportunities for farmers to sell produce beyond the Market, nuturing Pike Place Market farmers and local restaurants and institutions. Assisting with the organization and delivery of farm-direct products helps keep growers on their land and provides sales outlets that wouldn?t otherwise exist. Most importantly, providing nutritious, fresh-picked fruits and vegetables brings the joy of eating fresh, locally grown produce to our community.
