Description:
Second apartment in New York City. Much larger space and only one roommate. This building may have at one time in the 50s or 60s been the site of the famous Harlem collage artist Romare Bearden's first art show. Yoko Ono first showed around here in the 60s, too. We had a lot of mice because we lived above a restaurant. I once caught two on the same glue trap. The infamous "Two Potato" bar used to be right next door. It was known for its transvestite lounge acts and who knows what else. The bar was also extremely loud, frequently annoying me at 3am. I was living here when the WTC was attacked in 2001. The Archive Building, where the infamous Monica Lewinsky lives(d), is right across the street. I never ran into her, myself.
