The Mt. Tabor to Waterfront Skaterace- Meet at the top of Mt. Tabor at 9:00AM for this kickoff event. The route will go down Mt.Tabor to 60th Ave and then continue down SE Hawthorne from 60th to the Eastside Waterfront. Signs will mark the way to the starting point and then just follow the mob down. You can take this race as seriously as you'd like to show you're one of the fastest shredders in Portland, or just show up as a participant in an event that will definitely stop traffic and make a statement to everyone on the street. We want to get as many people out to do this as possible. (Some suggestions for the race: Carpool/ride the bus to the starting point so you don't have to leave your car at Mt. Tabor. Try and show up as close to 9:00am as possible so that you don't get left behind the group. If possible, line up 2 cars: one to leave down near Eastside Waterfront and take one up to Tabor. After the race, cruise back up and retrieve that car. You'll work it out.
