The First Accident for Which I Was Responsible a while ago

Description:
I was driving the old Chevy Citation my parents gave me when I got my license. I should mention that it took me three tries driving to get my license. The first time I drove to try to get my license I ended the test by pulling from the wrong lane of a four-lane street INTO the wrong lane of a two-way street and driving on the wrong side of the road for a block before pulling into the DMV parking lot.

This is to say that I was a terrible, terrible driver. I am still a pretty bad driver. Luckily I lived most of my life in big cities with subways and haven't had much chance to do damage. I hate driving.

So I had my license for a couple months when I stop at the stop sign in front ot N22nd St. This is a pretty busy street and people drive down it pretty fast.

I look to the left. It's clear. I look to the right. Lots of cars. I watch the cars pass and then I pull out, to turn left, and BLAM, I'm broadsided by another car. I had forgotten to look left again and had pulled right out in front of these guys. I busted the windshield with my head, but there was no permenant drain bamage. The front axel of the Citation was pushed back about three inches. Neither of the guys in the other car were hurt. This accident taught me to wear a seatbelt.

The car the other guys were in was a brand new car that they were test driving.
