Description:
Orange County is blessed with more than 40 miles of some of the prettiest coastline in the country. What better way to see it than by taking a leisurely bike ride? The wide, paved bicycle path runs from Sunset Beach in the north, through Huntington Beach, and into Newport and Balboa Beach to the south. Although it's a 15-mile trip each way, most cyclists just go part of the way, stopping frequently to watch the surfers, have a snack at a beachside food stand, or to enjoy the gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. Summer weekends are especially busy, when the bike paths are shared by bicyclists, inline skaters, and people jogging or walking.
