Meet John Snelgrove
John has been anointed by God to serve as a Senior Pastor of the Vine Christian Fellowship, an international and interdenominational church in Hong Kong, China. With his wife of 32 years Sandra, they share a deep love for Asia and for the people of this church and are in turn deeply loved by its members. God has promised them that the best years of their lives are in front of them and has given them and the rest of our leadership team a vision for a church that will have major influence and make significant impact both in Hong Kong and overseas.
John and Sandra Snelgrove came to Hong Kong from the UK in 1987 and arrived at the Vine in 1995, having served at a church in Pokfulam for over 7 years. John retired from his executive position as General Manager of AXA Insurance in 2003 to work full time at the Vine. They have made Hong Kong their family home and are committed to staying here. They have been widely used in the areas of evangelism and personal prayer ministry, and are both Executive Advisors to the Alpha course in Hong Kong, of which John is a director. They have led a number of Vine overseas mission trips and share a heart for missions. Sandra has been responsible for the Vine's Soul Sisters ministry for ladies and has an powerful anointing for prayer and healing. John has had the opportunity to share his gift of encouragement and vision in many pulpits around Hong Kong and overseas. They have two grown up married sons and a grandson, but have been, and are, spiritual parents to many, both in their home and outside. They attended leader's school at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in 2004 and, having experienced the touch of God, are passionate to see God's people released to the fullness of their potential in Him
