Asheville NC Home Crafts is one of my favorite yarn stores (and I've been to many!). They feature almost exclusively fibers, roving, glorious handspun yarns, and knitted items from local sheep/ llama/ alpaca/ angora rabbit/ angora goat/ etc farms, spinners, knitters, artisans, etc. I bought a hank of beautiful, soft, naturally variegated, handspun angora yarn from here, which I ultimately knitted into a luxurious little under scarf. I would travel to Asheville from the DC area just to visit this store again.
