thirtyninehotel is a "multimedia art gallery" -- a gallery with art on the walls that's open for the First Friday Gallery Walk, that doubles as a nightclub with DJed and live music. An unmarked, unobtrusive door on the sketchy side of Hotel Street in Downtown opens on a vertical staircase going up two stories, to a big, open loft space. There's a rooftop patio through the back, and the owners are awesome folks.
