Description:
Located south of Old Highway 80 and up and over Inkopah Park Road, an extremely rugged single lane leads up the mountain side and down into a beautiful high desert valley of wind carved rock croppings and chapparel. 4x4 with high clearance required or park off the road at the base and hike or bike in. Seasonal non-potable stream winds through the basin. Up the other side of the valley is the abandoned Elliot Mine. Access to man-made underground caves, mining artifacts and tunnels. Excellent overlook into Mexico. Good border watching location with unobstructed 180 degree view. Seasonal habitat for wild horses and mules, mule deer, small game. Good hiking and rock petroglyphs and fossil hounding. Abundant quartz crystal. Recommend mountain bikes, bring plenty of water.
