Description:
Bob Slate does have a whole half of the store with junk no artist wants or needs, like calendars and hokey rubber stamps, but they also have pretty much anything you want for drawing.
I got some very good drawing pens here. The kind of pens you can have a hard time finding these days. They were old and dusty and in a back drawer, but I got 'em.
They have a lot of good paper, and a good sketchbook selection. They have a pretty great little section of technical drafting tools, too. I got a giant French curve there which I was needing for pattern drawing (clothes).
Love this store.
They have a smaller selection for painting, but I don't paint so I can't really say if it's a good small selection or not.
It's also a good stationery store. They have great envelopes and you can even get typwriter ribbon there.
