The ancestral home of John Ebert, my gggg grandfather (son of Maria Deidlof who was born in the neighboring village of Gievitz). John was born in 1825 and immigrated to the US sometime after 1850 to the Michigan City, IN area.

John was married to Fredericka Voss (Schwarz?) in 1849 in Mecklenberg. She was also born in Deven, in 1823. Fredericka's mother's name was Mary (her maiden name is unknown).
