Description:
Experience Wichita as it was between 1865 to 1880, when it was a jumping off point for people going further West. There are period buildings and exhibits, and people dressed in period costumes ready to explain it all to you. We discovered this in 2000 when my mother-in-law was hospitalized in Wichita for a week and I needed to give my young kids a break from just sitting in the hospital all day.
