Description:
My girlfriend called me at about 9:15am central time telling me to quickly turn on the television. I turned it on to find a live broadcast of the north tower, smoke pouring out it. The news anchor kept saying that reports of south tower collapsing had come in, but they couldn't "confirm" it, despite the fact that we were all watching the same live broadcast showing only one tower. It was like no one could believe that the tower was not there. Then the second tower fell. When I heard of the Pentagon, I placed a call to my home in Washington DC to make sure everyone was alright. My parents, who rarely watch television, were still obilivous to events which had transpired.
