Park amenities include soccer fields, picnic area, little league fields, multipurpose fields, a community garden, and a dog park. The best feature of the park is the vernal pools. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernal_pool Unfortunately, the natural area is small and is surrounded by housing developments, but it's still ecologically interesting. The pools are a habitat for fairy shrimp and are a good place to go birdwatching. The best time to go is in April and May when the wildflowers are in bloom.
