Formerly Luba, Vinyl Lounge is now under the more than friendly ownership of two Ottawa immigrants. With far more room in the bathrooms than on the dancefloor (what are those chairs in there for? I foresee disaster!), Vinyl might not be your first choice for clubbing fun, but the relatively unpretentious, mixed atmosphere is conducive to bumping and grinding on the dancefloor. The weekend crowd tends to veer towards the klaxxon sniffing, so if semi-ironic hip-hop and Vice magazine fashionistas ain't your cup of tea, it might end up a bit aggravating. Nonetheless, Youth Culture as it is in 2006 stands finely represented... DJs and crews: Peer Pressure, Kops Krew, Sean Kosa, Scott Roberts, Emmanuelle, John Lee, et plus.
