Description:
In the late 80's a group of skaters from Portland travelled to a small town outside of Moosejaw to ride a vert ramp in a giant church jam packed with young rural canadian teenagers. There were indoor fireworks. Lance Mountain was also there, skating. Most of the guys weren't really vert skaters, in fact, they were pretty much terrible, in fact I was one of them. Some of us, the good vert skaters, had injured themselves during practice. The rest of us tried our best not to bail while doing rock&rolls, fakie popouts, little mini ollie nosegrinds, and ollies not quite out of the top. The crowd just kept cheering 'mctwist, mctwist, mctwist'. We just let Lance do his thing.
