Description:
A 23-year-old man was shot and killed next to his idling car at about 2:40 p.m. today in eastern New Orleans.

The shooting took place at about 2:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of Beechcraft Drive, a cul-de-sac off of Downman Road.

The man fell next to his car, his white t-shirt stained in blood. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

The murder occurred about 50 yards away from a double murder in June. Tremika Bingham, 27, and Christopher Williams, 38, were both shot inside a sport-utility vehicle on June 5.
