Coroner's investigators have identified a 38-year-old New Orleans man police officers found shot to death Sunday morning near a Gert Town intersection.
Mark Stone, 38, died of multiple gunshot wounds he sustained some time before 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, New Orleans coroner's chief investigator John Gagliano said Tuesday.
New Orleans Police Department officers responding to the early morning call of a shooting in the 7800 block of Olive Street found a wounded Stone lying on the ground near the intersection of Fern Street, according to information from both police spokesman Garry Flot and an NOPD incident log.
New Orleans EMS paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene.
