Description:
Emerald Park is a large pine tree filled park overlooking the quarry and Little Rock State house capitol. To see the capitol building--looks identical to US capitol--take the more airy trail on a sheer spit of rock on the west side of the quarry. At about 200-300 feet above the quarry one can look both east and far west up the river. If you have a rugged bike there is a switch back trail on the west side of park returning to the river trail (bike trail is miss-named River Rd on Tela Atlas map)
