So many chemical memories....
At marching band rehearsals, kids would literally pass out on the ground only to be yelled at by the band directors, "What's the matter, you whiners can't take a little stink? Get UP and get MARCHING!" When the wind was right (wrong) the air was so thick with it that it went byond smell--we could taste the scent, it was so thick.
