The blending of the culinary arts and the art of jazz seems to be the perfect recipe for enjoying a creative evening. The renowned Kuumbwa Jazz Center is a nonprofit organization that has been presenting world-class jazz since 1975.
Each Monday night we present internationally known jazz artists and serve dinner prepared by our chef Cheryl Simons. Cheryl cooks with the freshest local ingredients, sometimes from her own organic garden. Her meals are always a delicious compliment to the shows.
Thursday nights are the “Cookin’ at the Kuumbwa” series where we feature great music from local and regional musicians along with specially prepared dinners...and they are one of the best deals in town! Cookin’ at the Kuumbwa features: “Guest Chefs” from some of the finest local restaurants; “Closet Chefs” whose talents are established elsewhere, but we have faith you’re going to like what they serve, along with Café Kuumbwa resident chef Cheryl Simons. We also offer select local wines and beers.
