Description:
An unidentified woman was found shot to death on the 2100 block of Franklin Avenue early this morning, police said in a statement.
Fifth District officers responded to a reports of a shooting and found the woman inside a home in the St. Roch neighborhood with a single gunshot wound, according to New Orleans Police Department spokesman Garry Flot.
The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m., and emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
