Yuet Ben was established in 1968 at 29 Great George Street, a stone's throw from its present premises. Since then, Yuh Ho Yau and his family have consistently prepared, cooked and served dishes with the authentic flavours of Northern Chinese Cuisine.
Yuh Ho was born in Yantai, Shandong. He learned his culinary skills in Dalian, from the very early age of sixteen. Before settling in Liverpool, Yuh Ho had worked in restaurants in Beijing/Peking, Hong Kong and New York.
The restaurant is today run by his daughter Theresa. Theresa and her staff endeavour to maintain Yuh Ho's high standard and consistency.
