Description:
Isle Madame is home to some of the remaining Acadien communities that can trace their ancestry back to the French settlers of Eastern Canada (Acadie) of the early 1600's. It is also a beautifully varied sea kayaking destination, with warm, shallow estuaries, rocky headlands, narrow channels, broad bays, and the ability to camp along the way or stay at B&B's or cabins.
You don't need to speak French, but if you try, people appreciate the effort.
