Description:
Louisbourg - former French bastion in North America and home to to Fortress Louisbourg National Historic Site, the largest historical reconstruction in North America. Also, the site of the first lighthouse in Canada, after the loss of life from the wreck of the treasure ship Le Chameau. A fun quick paddle for beginners, or part of a larger route from Fourchu or Gabarus to Main-a-Dieu for experienced paddlers.
