Description:
Seattle is consider to be the birthplace of grunge music, which was hugely popular in the 90's. It is also the founding city of many coffee coporations such as Starbucks and Seattle's best.
The Space Needle, Seattle's largest building, was completed in 1962. It was built for the world fair. It is 605 feet tall and 138 feet wide at the base. Tourists can take elevators to get to the top. It was designated a land mark on April 19th, 1999
