November 2004: Officers with the sheriff’s STAR team and state Department of Justice discover a drug factory on the 2600 block of Lingard Road with thousands of pounds in processed marijuana, rock cocaine and methamphetamine, along with several assault rifles. About 40 people who were working inside the structure tried to flee as officers raided the area.
