Description:
This is the Commerce Bank, one of the many banks lining Germantown Avenue. On the one hand, it's bright. Damn bright. A lot of people don't like that, but it's hard for me to see bright light along the Avenue at night as anything but a good thing. And at least this building does not look nearly as nightmarish as Commerce Bank's many other outlets that draw heavily on the "funhaus" school of art and architecture. Still, with the huge windows and the oversized, tacky graphics, this building seems determined not to blend in. Not the worst thing that could have happened, but surely not the best.
