J.
LeRoy is a writer and musician who resides in Seattle,
Washington, USA. He has lived there for over 12
years now - which is longer than he has done anything
else - outside of normal bodily functions.
J.
LeRoy got his start in music and art as a member
of the AMA and
Boat People
experiences.
Today
J. LeRoy makes his music here.
He has two completed solo CDs entitled "Americans
Shouldn't Travel" and Eugenics
Building
Americans Shouldn't Travel is a collection of personal
revelations and general mayhem that have helped
propel J. LeRoy to be the upstanding soldier he
is today. His current project is The Ineffectiveness
Series, due out in late 2002. He regularly contributes
to Digital
Cutup Lounge.
He
collaborated with other artists around the world
to create a CD based on the writing of Eugenics
proponents from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The CD, Eugenics
Building, was released in August, 2000.
Currently,
J. LeRoy is gigging much
less than once a month and is working on a reformation
of the Soundbag
site to provide source material for ambient and
experimental musicians. The reformation of Soundbag
is underway.
Recently
he collaborated with other artists around the world
to create a CD of artists using AudioMulch
software. The CD Global Complex is available
for purchase or just to listen from the Clan
Mulch site.
J.
LeRoy enjoys collaborating on many disparate projects
- so if you have a film, a CD, or just want to make
some noise and see what he does with it - e-mail
him. He's generally pretty nice and will respond.
