48 pigs were dumped by a breeder in Jacksonville, NC. Rescuers were lied to and assured that these pigs were elderly and from an elderly rescuer who could no longer care for them. Nearly all pigs were adolecent males with respiratory problems and mites, up to problems such as severe bladder stones.

30 pigs were taken by All Creatures Rescue and Sanctuary in the Triangle Area of NC, and the other 18 were taken by Greener Side Rescue in Jacksonville, NC.
