Sheffield has loads of great green spaces and a few of them have become significant places for H and me. This one is just down from us and we love it.

It feels like a proper old school park. Its got a bowling green, a duck pond, a brilliant library and some derelict old stable buildings.

One of the best bits is the Walled Garden. It's run by a small group of volunteers and is just a beautiful place to chill out.

Tha park is cared for by the city council and the friends of hillsborough park, there's been a lot of work done recently; a new, lit, jogging track, and improved playground (and big snake earth-sculpture) and the beautiful new Bowling Pavillion/Park office.

Its used by the community a lot, we've just had a circus thete, in December it hosts a winter craft fair, and in the summer its home to the annual Mayfest.

This is a brilliant public space that jus seems to get get better and better.
