日據時期「台灣總督府專賣局松山煙草工場」，光復後由專賣局接收成為松山菸廠，專製捲菸、菸絲及雪茄等菸草製品。工廠內設置員工宿舍、醫護室、育嬰室，重視員工福利。建築風格屬現代主義，建材都是特別定製的，做工精細。菸廠入口辦公廳為行政管理，後方是6,000坪的製菸工場，有製盒、理葉、切葉、捲菸、包裝等生產部門。目前已指定辦公廳、製菸工場、鍋爐房、1至5號倉庫為古蹟本體，並將蓮花池、運輸軌道及光復後新建倉庫，一併納為古蹟保存範圍。該廠是公賣局4大菸廠〈屏東內埔、台北、豐原、松山〉中最大的廠。松山菸廠早期產品品牌為香蕉、新樂園、雙喜等，現在則生產長壽、福祿、總00統、寶島、金龍等品牌。
