Tucked into the western foothills of Santa Clara County, Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Preserve boasts beautiful oak woodlands, native grassland areas, and spectacular scenic views. The Longwall Canyon Trail (2.7 miles) and Bald Peaks Trail (1.1 miles) offer views of the Diablo Range and Mt. Hamilton, as well as the Santa Clara Valley Floor.

This extraordinary enviroment offers visitors the chance to discover the quietness of the foothills, enjoy panoramic vistas, and observe a diverse array of plant and animal species.

With the opening of the Rancho Canada del Oro staging area on Casa Loma Road, you can park your vehicle and make a short connection to the Longwall Canyon and Bald Peaks trails in the Preserve.

Note: The Bald Peaks and Longwall Canyon Trails can also be reached from Calero County Park.
