The Voodoo Lounge, Ft. Lauderdale's newest upscale nightclub is located at 111 S.W. 2nd Ave. (Moffat St.) in the same building that once housed the infamous Independence Brewery. Opening on March 2nd of 2000 to a record crowd, The Voodoo Lounge has been going strong for over a year now and shows no signs of stopping. With nearly 10,000 square feet of space, it is without a doubt one of Ft. Lauderdale's largest nightclubs.
Among the eclectic mix of furniture, elegant tapestries and ambient lighting, you'll find some of the coolest and classiest people in town. Why? Because the Voodoo Lounge is the place to be. We are proud to show off our brand new state-of-the-art sound system, designed by Theatremax of Buffalo, New York. You won't be able to resist the nearly 50,000 watts of clean, un-adulterated dance your ass-off sound. And there's plenty of space to boogie down too... with an oversized stage placed in the middle of our expansive dance floor, you'll be the center of attention as you show off your latest dance moves. When the hot Florida sun goes down, the deck takes on a life of it's own as the new 5,000 watt outdoor sound system pumps out the coolest musicâ¦and you won't be able to take your eyes off out breath taking outdoor video wall playing an assortment of old movies or some amazing computer animation.
