"Coming to America: Civic Integration of New Immigrants"

Immigration and assimilation - and the importance of helping new immigrants to "integrate civically" into our communities - will be the topic when Bill Hing, noted author on immigration policy and race relations and a professor of Law and Asian American Studies at UC Davis, speaks at the Walnut Creek Downtown Library on Thursday evening, October 12. The lecture is presented as part of both the Contra Costa County Library's Civic Engagement Lecture Series and as part of the One City, One Book: Walnut Creek Reads program. It begins at 7:30. Thursday, October 12th, 7:30 p.m.
