Immigration and assimilation - and the importance of helping new immigrants to "integrate civically" into our communities - will be the topic when Bill Hing, noted author on immigration policy and race relations and a professor of Law and Asian American Studies at UC Davis, speaks at the Walnut Creek Downtown Library on Thursday evening, October 12.
