Description:
The Boccardo Trail Corridor was opened to the public on May 11, 2002. This 1.5-mile trail, which is open to hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians, is designated as a portion of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. It will take you up about 1,100-feet to the top of a grassy knoll that overlooks Silicon Valley. From the top of the knoll, on a clear day, you will be able to see north to San Francisco and south to Gilroy.
Directions to Boccardo Trail:
Access to the Boccardo Trail is from the Todd Quick Trail in Alum Rock Park. Take Alum Rock Park's North Rim Trail, from either Big Bear or Rustic Lands picnic areas, to the Todd Quick Trail. At the top of the Todd Quick Trail (1- to 1.5-miles) there will be a gate that will lead to the Boccardo Trail.
