Our sense of smell seems to trigger memory with such intensity; as if through untrampled fields of recall. There is that sense of being swept sideways to another time; a window that connects a younger self; in an almost teleological way - as if that younger self sees you and is the wiser of the two. It awakens a sense of wanting to go home to places that no longer exist.
