Map Details:
Birding around DC
Birding around the Nation's Capitol and the surrounding area. DC is ideally situated for those interested in birding. Located along both tidal and dropping portions of the Potomac River, with incredible amounts of trees covering the city both in residential neighborhoods and the large park areas extending from downtown to the suburbs, migratory birds in large numbers pass through or near DC. Add in easy access to the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, with their different bird populations and species, and the DC area is hard to beat as a place to live.
