Sahara Falafel

Sahara Falafel is at the very tip of an area known to some as Little Gaza. This part of Brookhurst and its cross streets is the spot for dozens of Middle Eastern businesses, where frequent Arabic signs and their English translations advertise falafel, kebabs, shawarma, meats and pastries. If you're hungry, this is Mecca.
Tags: falafel, restaurants, tabbouleh, persian, chicken shawarma plate, beef shawarma sandwich

Map this on Platial

Alto

At his latest Midtown restaurant, a stylish, quiet, gray space tucked behind a slab of the Berlin Wall, Scott Conant introduces the food and wines of the Alto Adige, a mountainous area in northern Italy, across the border from Austria. His cooking is sensual and refined, beginning with a delicate crudo of sea scallops, yellowtail with sea urchin and caviar sauce, and smoked trout with parsley root vinaigrette. Pastas include miniature agnolotti in a Parmesan foam, and tagliatelle in a rich goose ragoût; flavored with stewed prunes. The suckling pig comes with airy semolina gnocchi and bitter greens, the pike with spaetzle, and the guinea hen (poached breast, roasted leg) with sauerkraut, speck, and a foie gras emulsion. The wonderful Austrian desserts include rhubarb strudel with roasted strawberries and Sacher torte with kumquat marmalade (prix fixe, $65–$115).
Tags: alto, restaurants

Map this on Platial

Island Prime

Deborah Scott revolutionized the San Diego dining scene with Kemo Sabe and Indigo Grill, and her latest venture proves that the celebrity chef still has the touch. Combining a stunning waterfront setting—a spacious dining room hovers over the bay and a more casual outdoor deck has fantastic waterfront views—with a hip and sometimes humorous take on the surf-and-turf joints that Scott grew up with in her native Virginia, Island Prime blows everything else along the shoreline clean out of the water. The menu ranges from traditional filet mignon and old-school linguine and clams to offbeat signature Scott dishes such as nut-crusted Brie with honey-roasted garlic and jalapeño jelly. The sides are equally scrumptious—especially the crunchy corn and the baby beets (entrées, $13–$48).
Tags: seafood, restaurants, steakhouse, island prime

Map this on Platial

Pagliacci's Italian

We ate here our first night in Victoria, not knowing much about the place except that it had a line out the door so it must be good. We were not disappointed! This is an extremely lively Italian restaurant, with tables squeezed close and conversations begging to be eavesdropped. If you're looking for a romantic Italian dining experience, go elsewhere. Pagliacci's is all about the food and conversation. The food is unusually good and worth the wait. Expect to pay $10-20.
Tags: italian, restaurants, victoria, british columbia

Map this on Platial
My husband had never tried Thai food, so when we stumbled across this Thai place in Victoria, we had to try it. Scumptous! My husband is now a fan of Thai. While the atmosphere and service are ho-hum, the food is a nice break from Victoria's pub and seafood scene. This is also a great value, as you will be served large portions. Two people can easily share one dinner plate.

It was a very cheap rate travel for us because our budget was very low and wanted to more excitement place, someone suggested me to go at Atlantic city and Philadelphia because both of them city are very 2 hours distance and provides low cost travel always. Our first morning in Vancouver we stumbled across this tiny diner a couple blocks from our hotel. It didn't look like much at first, just a row of booths, and a counter. However, the hearty breakfast fare and the hardworking and pleasant staff made us regulars for our entire stay! The large portions and low price make this diner a great value. Even my thrifty husband was impressed! The bonus was one particular waitress who ran the entire place by herself on a busy weekday morning, and still managed to remember our names. We will definately be back next time we're in town. Go early on weekend mornings when everyone in town packs the place for brunch.
Tags: dining, vancouver, restaurants, diners, templeton

Map this on Platial

Old Spaghetti Factory

My thrifty husband loved this boisterous Italian restaurant. He loves trains, and the Factory has a real antique trolley car in the middle of the restaurant. He insisted we wait until a table opened up inside the trolley, car, and while that took 45 minutes at this always busy spot, the wait staff were considerate and let us munch on garlic bread while we waited. Once we were seated, we devoured huge portions of spaghetti, meatballs, and bread, all for a very reasonable price. This restaurant is not for everyone, but if you have kids or are young at heart, the Spaghetti Factory is worth the wait. The food is standard Italian fare - meatballs, pastas and salads. Expect to pay $7-12 a person.
Tags: gastown, dining, vancouver, restaurants, Italian

Map this on Platial

The Sandbar - Disappointing

I read a great review about this restaurant. However, I found the entire dining experience at the Sandbar fell short of expectations. My salmon burger was so dry I had to drink copious amounts of water just to swallow it. The service was slow and indifferent, even though the lunch crowd was sparse. The atmosphere was lacking something memorable. It was sterile - not cozy or hip or even eclectic. I would skip this restaurant and dine instead at the nearby Granville Public Market for much less money and much more atmosphere.
Tags: dining, vancouver, restaurants, granville island, the sandbar

Map this on Platial
This is a fun restaurant set inside an old brick warehouse. The decor can only be described as eclectic, like the attic at a grandparent's house with trunks and shelves full of fascinating clothes, toys and memorabilia. Kids will find the decor endlessly fascinating. The food is satisfying and well-prepared. The menu is varied with something for everyone, from Mexican to pasta to burgers. This is a great and inexpensive place to bring the family. The place is packed on weekends, so avoid those times unless you don't mind a long wait.
Tags: dining, italian, restaurants, appleton, good company

Map this on Platial

Huhot - A Great Value!

If you're looking for value and have a big appetite, this Mongolian grill is a smart choice for a meal out. You pay for an all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner, select your own ingredients and sauces, and watch the chefs cook your food on the grill. The variety of sauce combos makes the food really tasty - last time we went, my husband went back for thirds! Just beware the weekends - Huhot is popular and crowded, and the Saturday night wait in line for the grill can be frustrating when you're hungry! (I once waited half an hour).
Tags: dining, restaurants, asian, appleton, mongolian grill, huhot

Map this on Platial

Gypsy Den Grand Central Cafe

Now hipsters living in North Orange County have another reason to rejoice. Instead of battling the traffic of the 55 freeway to enjoy a light lunch at the famed Costa Mesa address, they can take a quick drive to the Gypsy Den in the trendy Santora Arts District in Santa Ana. If you're afraid that the new Den won't measure up to the other one, know that the decor is practically identical, from the Oriental-covered walls to thrift-shop bottles that line the windowsills. The menu is exactly the same as well, filled with an eclectic collection of healthy sandwiches, salads, quiches and surprisingly exotic desserts. An order of nachos is a great way to start off your Gypsy Den experience: The three types of beans, thick cheese, fresh salsa, sour cream and olives are more than enough for one party. Although the Gypsy Den has plenty of hot entrees such as veggie lasagna, fluffy quiches and spicy tamale pies, the sandwich-and-soup combo is easily the most popular dish. The adobe stew -- a spicy mix of vegetables and pinto beans topped with jack and cheddar cheese -- is a favorite. -- Michael Alarcon
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial
Orange County's best Japanese pub doesn't serve much in the way of sushi. Instead the specialty here is kappo, little dishes created to complement beer and saké. Master chef-owner Shirai-san keeps a small English menu around for greenhorns, but the best dishes-including incomparable miso-marinated filet mignon and terrific steamed dumplings stuffed with minced shrimp-are scribbled in Japanese on a blackboard. You'll find a fine selection of boutique sakés and Japanese beer to mute the noise-which is considerable when the place teems with Japanese businessmen in a celebratory mood.
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Mariscos Tampico

If you're familiar with Santa Ana's Fourth Street at all, you?ll know that discovering some of its little mom-and-pop stores is as fun an adventure as shopping in the stores themselves. This carniceria is a true find. The meat market, a staple of Mexican grocery shopping, is housed in the Mariscos Tampico restaurant -- much like a typical cold cuts counter might be found in an authentic Jewish deli. Meats of all kind are cut to order and you can ask for hard-to-find items that make up Mexican recipes like brains, tongue, and intestine. But it should be mentioned: due to the fact that you might see these animal parts (along with pigs, chickens, and occasionally the odd goat) get sliced and diced right before your very eyes, weak stomachs and those who get queasy at the sight of blood should think twice before entering. -- Michael Alarcon
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Memphis at the Santora

If there has ever been one complaint about the Memphis Café in Costa Mesa, it's that it's far too small. Realizing these problems, the owners of Memphis, after two years of battling Santa Ana's building and zoning departments, have finally opened up a second -- bigger and better -- Memphis in the Santa Ana Artist's Village. Usually, when an independent restaurant goes "bigger and better," those endearing details (like design, the unique menu, the ambience) get lost in the shuffle, but this one has lost none of its charm from the original. If anything, its allure has only been enhanced. Remaining identical to the original is the spicy gumbo, which is still a favorite when it comes to appetizers. Not a fish fan? The chicken Caesar salad is perfect by most people's standards. Mainstays like the pork chops, meatloaf, pulled- pork sandwich and Memphis burger, which with shoestring fries, is still amongst the most- ordered items on the menu. But why be like everyone else? Try something unusual and take a chance on the catfish sub -– it might not be as healthy as anything you'd find on a Subway menu, but it's going to taste a whole lot better. -- Michael Alarcon
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Morton's of Chicago

Price Per Person: $25-$35* Kid-Friendly Perks: High chairs at some locations Blue Plate Special: Slabs of prime beef, giant fresh lobsters, tender grilled veal chops, and fresh fish entrees. Tableside preparation and presentation gets a star. The Dish: If it's a steakhouse experience you want, Morton's of Chicago has the formula down pat. Start with jumbo shrimp or crabmeat cocktails, bluepoint oysters on the half shell, or lobster bisque. Move along to Morton's spinach or Caesar salad, and then consider your options: Porterhouse steak, double filet mignon, Sicilian veal chop, whole Maine lobster, and broiled center-cut swordfish are just a few. Vegetable sides are legendary, from steamed asparagus to creamed spinach to sauteed wild mushrooms. Decadent desserts include chocolate velvet cake and sublime souffles (order with your dinner). After dinner, you can enjoy fine cigars, upscale liqueurs and fancy coffees. The Atmosphere: Morton's steakhouse formula is consistently replicated in its restaurants across America. No matter where you go, you'll find the rich and leathery club-like atmosphere, with low lighting, deep banquettes and spacious tables. Monster-sized portions, the knowledgeable, if slightly superior, staff, big drinks, buttery wines and high price tags characterize Morton's. The chain -- perhaps the leader of the upscale steakhouse genre -- competes with other top-of-the-line steakhouses like Sam & Harry's and Smith & Wollensky. -- Tracey E.
Orange County Mining Co

Step back an era or two, to the time when Santa Ana's Silverado Canyon was populated by prospectors and pioneers, and fine-dining restaurants served up square meals instead of insubstantial California cuisine creations. This restaurant, which is perched on the lip of a former silver mine, re-creates the ambience of an early Californian "grubbery" as faithfully as possible. Mind you, it's the sort of place that miners went when they struck it rich, not when they were looking for cheap whiskey and barroom brawls. Linen tablecloths, ornamental lamps and valuable antiques decorate the interior, balancing out the rough-hewn wooden paneling and lending an air of elegance to the old-fashioned dining room. The magnificent view is the Mining Co's crowning glory, and accounts in large part for its popularity as a date spot and special event venue. The kitchen serves up classic steakhouse fare: hand-cut steaks topped with mushrooms and onions; the one-pound "Miner's Cut" of prime rib; and baby back ribs straight from the barbecue pit. All the entrees, including lighter ones such as shrimp scampi and chicken teriyaki, include potatos or rice, fresh-baked cheese bread, and unlimited trips to the well-stocked salad bar. The Sunday buffet brunch offers made-to-order omelets and pancakes as well as a chilled seafood station, carving station, and plenty of hot and cold dishes. --Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Royal Khyber

Creative sauces and contemporary preparations set this Orange County restaurant apart from its fellow Indian restaurants. It's also substantially more expensive than the competitors -- but that comes with the territory. The restaurant is known for its slow-cooked lamb shank, which takes approximately 15 hours to prepare, and for its savory Royal tandoori kebabs, which are built with four different kinds of meat and seafood. Sauteed quail, fresh fish tandoori and lobster masala are also on the menu. Vegetarians can sample dishes such as okra masala and charbroiled eggplant. The chef encourages a bit of experimentation, hence, the "curry" section of the menu, wherein diners are allowed to pair up the meat and sauce of their choice. The decor is a bit more luxe than at the average Indian place. It's definitely a date spot, not a load-up-on-the-lunch-buffet spot. In fact, there is no lunch buffet, though the Sunday brunch offers an up-market approximation. -- Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Tangata

The name of this restaurant -- an Aborigine word for 'mankind' -- clues you in right away that it's both an eclectic and a culturally savvy venue. Though part of the Patina restaurant family, it offers a much more diverse menu than you'd find at any of the Patina or Pinot restaurants. The cuisine is an unpredictable blend of Mediterranean, Asian, Californian and other influences. The menu changes so often that you could dine here for seven days in a row and have a different experience each time. Standby items include the marinated bay scallops and the shrimp frittata. Special requests are accommodated whenever possible. Modern, spare and sophisticated, the restaurant definitely holds its own with any other room inside Bowers. Natural light streams in through many skylights, but golden light from wall sconces adds dramatic effect to the pearly, champagne-silver interior. Though primarily a daytime restaurant, this is clearly not your average museum cafe. In fact, its brunches and wine dinners have become an integral part of Bowers' special event calendar. -- Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial
And then there's the other menu. It's dainty and rose-colored, and offers several variations on the ritual of afternoon tea. You can get a pot of tea and plate of baked treats for $7, or an entire meal including quiche and tea sandwiches for $18. Ignore the dining room in the back. Bring your cuppa' (and your finger sandwiches and scone with clotted cream) into the lovely little tearoom. It's furnished with wrought-iron tables and accented with colorful cushions and hand-painted signs. A tall, whitewashed fence with latticework on top separates the tearoom from the main room, which is actually used as a retail space. Simple whitewashed shelves hold a colorful panoply of stuffed animals, dolls and specialty teas. -- Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Bluewater Grill

The word “fresh” appears on the menu here over 50 times. Priding itself on being one step ahead of most fish houses, Bluewater Grill has the feel of a New England-style seafood restaurant, with its comfortable booths, French windows and captain’s chairs. Photos of fishermen from the 1890s through the present day decorate the wood-paneled walls. The oyster bar also serves up ahi sushi and sashimi. Service is lively here, and most diners begin with a bucket of clams and some lobster bisque. There are over 12 types of fresh fish being served, so the menu is printed up twice daily to reflect the catch. The Alaskan halibut, Santa Barbara sea bass and coconut-fried shrimp are tasty, but the star here is the cioppino. Imagine half a Dungeness crab, shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and white fish in a spicy tomato sauce. Equally popular is the Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach. On Sundays, both restaurants offer wine tasting. -- Victoria Namkung
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial
Although this Tuscan-styled trattoria's biggest fault is being buried in a corner of a gray industrial park, its food and atmosphere more than make up for its elusiveness. Outside gardens are perfectly manicured and the structure could be featured in the pages of Architectural Digest. Naturally, the food matches the ambience. Since no bread is served when seated, you might want to order the Focaccia al Formaggio or Bruschetta Toscana. The pizza is good, but better are the specialty pastas. The fettuccine with shrimp and prosciutto in a garlic cream tomato sauce pops in your mouth, while the Agnoltti d'Aragosta -- pasta with half-moon-shaped ravioli that's filled with ricotta and lobster and topped with a lobster-lemon sauce -- is exceptional. -- Michael Alarcon
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Orange Hill Restaurant

A few positive phrases come to mind when people bring up the Orange Hill: spectacular Sunday brunch, great view overlooking the entire north county, memorable wedding receptions. Unfortunately, there are some phrases that aren't so favorable: forced valet parking, extremely long waits (even with reservations) and very high prices. But don't let these facts deter you from one of the best dining experience in Orange County. As far as the menu is concerned, Orange Hill keeps it very basic: thick steaks, fresh fish, seasoned poultry and exceptional lamb. You can't go wrong with anything you order here, the master chefs see to that. The real reason OC restaurant aficionados keep returning is the atmosphere: wedding parties, couples celebrating anniversaries and those newly in love swear by this place. Also be sure to make time to lounge by one of the outdoor fire pits overlooking the city, while sharing a good bottle of wine. -- Michael Alarcon
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Chipotle Mexican Grill

After munching on its gourmet burritos and tacos, you might understand why Chipotle (chi-poat-lay) is a fast-growing dining chain. With its simple menu (only burritos and tacos), marinated meats, tangy salsas, fast service and low prices, the restaurant is a fresh-Mex lovers dream. The free-range pork, shredded beef, chicken and steak is rubbed by hand and then marinated overnight in a chipolte (dried jalapeno pepper) adobo (rub/marinade) and then grilled. You can also try the Burrito Bol, a regular or fajita burrito sans the cholesterol-laden tortilla. They make it while you watch, so you can request a little more salsa here, and a little less cheese there. Another plus the other fast-food guys can?t bring to the experience: cheap margaritas and beer. Blue Plate Special: Giant burritos, fajita burritos with grilled vegetables, soft or crunchy tacos (four per order) and the Burrito Bol (a burrito sans tortilla served in a bowl) are the only items on the menu. The cilantro lime rice and black beans are exceptional. The Dish: Chipotle was founded in 1993 when Steve Ells, a classical trained chef, opened a tiny burrito joint. He decided to offer a simple menu that includes only the freshest ingredients. Using gourmet cooking techniques such as marinating and rubbing meats with exotic spices like chipolte peppers, cumin, cloves, garlic and juniper berries, Chipolte?s customers have grown and so have its locations (more than 50 nationwide). The Atmosphere: Don?t expect to find bright yellow, red and green Mexican decorations or surf-inspired stickers plastered all over the walls. The atmosphere is industrial cool with open ceilings, drop-down lights, corrugated steel, blonde wood tables and chairs, red walls and unique artwork. Professional lunch diners and families wanting a fast and inexpensive, but delicious meal are regulars. -- Sheryll Alexander
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Blue Agave

Based in a family-oriented town seriously lacking in upscale gourmet eateries, locals refer to Chef George Gallardo's restaurant as a precious gem. North county gourmands have dined here regularly for more than a decade, indulging not only in the sumptuous food, but the spectacular 16-ounce margaritas. The La Suprema Margarita is made from El Tesoro Plata tequila, 80-proof Cointreau and fresh lime juice. From sauces (honey achiote), marinades (apricot/pineapple), marmalades (orange chipotle) and purees (cactus pear), the menu is made up of a flavorful blend of American, Southwest, Mexican and South American tastes such as Gallardo's Kiva grilled steak, Montego Bay coconut shrimp or Cozumel grilled chicken. In addition to moderately priced specials from 4-6PM daily, there's also an extensive wrap menu for lunch, including the popular Mahi Mahi Mazatlan Mango wrap with fresh mango relish and avocado sauce. Designed to feel like a Southwestern adobe, the interior is full of faux paintings and Indian artifacts. Locals tend to bring the whole family here for a night on the town, so don't expect to get a table on a Friday or Saturday night without calling at least two to three days in advance. -- Sheryll Alexander
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Wild Artichoke

Yorba Linda fell in love with this unassuming little gem as soon as it opened, and people from neighboring cities were quick to follow suit. There's a lot to love about it: the cozy atmosphere, the affordable prices, the menu that changes every week, and of course, chef/owner James D'Aquila, whose kitchen wizardry is only matched by his hospitality. D'Aquila's menu is eclectic, but the individual dishes tend to be both straightforward and satisfying. Signature items such as the house-cured gravlax starter and the mouthwatering braised beef shortribs stay on the menu pretty much all the time. Another signature, the spinach-artichoke dip, is served with fresh-baked bread at the beginning of each meal. The proprietor himself often comes out from the kitchen to introduce himself to his guests and make sure they feel at home. -- Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial

Sapphire Restaurant and Pantry

        From SqueezeOC:

Owner/chef: Azmin Ghahreman, recently the executive chef of the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point. Ghahreman has worked around the world, including stints as the executive chef at Four Seasons properties in Malaysia, Hawaii, Turkey, Singapore and Maui.

Details: The star of the new center at Coast Highway and Brooks Street is the 120-seat restaurant and bar Sapphire Laguna. It’s reminiscent of an Indonesian beach resort — distressed wood floor, a ceiling framed with wood beams, and a view of the ocean; with Laguna artistic touches like glasswork by John Barber and plein art paintings.

The menu is an eclectic collection of international comfort food, inspired by Ghahreman’s love for fresh street food. The Malaysian black pepper shrimp, for example, is an uncomplicated but exhilarating concoction of crustaceans tossed in a sauce with fiery, dry-fried black pepper. The outdoor tables are perfect for crowd watching.

Next door, Ghahreman has set up Sapphire Pantry, a 930-square foot gourmet shop with fine wines, artisan cheeses, and produce like the chef’s homemade preserved lemons, apricot preserve from Napa, and black truffle oil from France. The restaurant opened Feb. 21, and Sapphire Pantry is scheduled to open by March 1.

Worth a try: Malaysian black pepper shrimp with long beans and garlic chips ($13, appetizer), braised prime short ribs with creamy Parisian mashed potatoes ($26.50, entrée), brown-buttered skate wing with wilted greens ($13.50, appetizer).

Stepho's - worth the wait!

We waited a LONG time to get into this restaurant, the line literally strecthing far down the block. We questioned the wisdom of waiting 45 minutes for a seat (they don't take reservations). Then we finally had a bite of the scumptious Greek food at this family-run restaurant. Flavorful, intense, and so worth the stabbing hunger pains! So either arrive early, or bring a truckload of patience. Also, ask to be seated inside. We were seated on the skinny patio, which at first seemed atmospheric, until we realized all the staff on break were smoking nearby. For someone from a country where smoking in public places is increasingly being outlawed, an unpleasant experience. Expect to pay $15-20 a person.
Tags: dining, vancouver, greek, restaurants

Map this on Platial

La Bodega Tapas

This cozy little tapas restaurant is worth seeking out. We got ourselves majorly lost on our first night in Vancouver trying to find this place, and it turned out it was a block from our hotel the entire time! An hour of walking worked up a huge appetite and we dove in to the numerous little plates and the refreshing sangria. A romantic place to dine, and the food is flavorful, fresh and adventerous. The sangria is the best I've had in North America. My husband, who's been to Spain, raved about the food. Get a few different plates to share and sample. Make sure to reserve ahead. Expect to pay $4-8 a plate.
Tags: sangria, dining, restaurants, tapas, Spanish, Vancouver

Map this on Platial

Lazy Dog

One thing's for sure: The dawgs behind this new Huntington Beach hot spot are anything but lazy. Owner Chris Simms and his father/business partner Tom put a whole lot of time, effort and entrepreneurial razzle-dazzle into the place, and it shows. Of course, it doesn't hurt matters any that both Simms have been running successful restaurants for years (Chris has opened several PF Changs locations, while Tom founded and still owns the Mimi's Cafe chain). Lazy Dog is their (ahem) pet project -- and a rare crossbreed it is. Both the decorative motif and the menu are classic American with European and Asian twists. Black-and-white photos of China adorn one wall; color photos of the employees' pets hang on another. Comfortable booths, a fireplace and vibrant murals make the main room seem warm despite its stone walls and high ceilings. The bar scene is lively: The bartenders mix up Otter Pops, Rose Laker Shakers and other specialty cocktails as fast as folks can drink 'em. Comfort cuisine classics such as the meatloaf and "inside out" quesadilla hit the spot. Even vegetarians are assured of a good meal, as the chef is more than able to make veggie versions of most of the menu items. -- Lena Katz
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial
Neon lighting, black lacquer chairs and large windows dominate the dining room, but the Vietnamese cuisine, not the decor, will be your priority. Most are eager to try the house favorite, which is seven courses of beef for $12.95 (most are appetizer-sized portions, so it's not as heavy as it may sound). First you start with fondue-style strips of beef you dip in a vinegary broth. Next are steamed meatballs followed by grilled ground beef sausage, Hawaii leaf sausage, beef satay prepared with ginger over an open flame, a beef salad and finally noodles and rice beef soup. Specialties include Tom Nuong Vi (table-grilled shrimp) and Muc Bo Nuong Vi, a combination of squid and beef marinated in lemongrass. For dessert try Banh Flan a tasty custard. -- Victoria Namkung
Tags: restaurants, orange county

Map this on Platial
