<title>The Plastic Constellations @ The Empty Bottle</title>

        1/28/06 The Empty Bottle -- Ok, so the sound in this joint can be for crap, but they've got $2 PBRs, ya know? 

Saw TPC @ the Bottle awhile back and it was excellent.  I mean, even though they were totally hungover from their record release party the night before, they were running late and their amp was broken, and the sound was, wait for it ... for crap, these guys know how to bring the rock.  

Double kick ass guitars, songs about conquests and dragons where it's them against the world and oh, a healthy lust for PBR with their heart on their sleeves and their mouths on a drink, simply put: awesome.

Oh yeah, they also played with a Chicago band called The Narrator, who are apparently a bunch of Loyola students.   Hey fellas: EMO is so very 1996!

The Life & Times headlined the show, which brought out every 35 year old record collector dude in the city.  Clearly taking a page from the Andrew WK guidebook, they bobbed their heads and looked "appreciative."
