Nice!

After figuring out that the numbers he used to win the lottery are cursed, hurley goes to find Sam Tooney in Australia, who had heard them broadcast in the Pacific along with his friend Leaonard. Hurley got the numbers from L while he was in the mental hospital. When he gets to Tooney's house he learns that Sam had used the numbers to win a bean counting contest which had begun a chain of disastrous events in his own life, ending only with his death. Tooney's wife refuses to believe that the numbers are cursed. This all happens as a flash back in the episode where Hurley goes to find Rousseau after seeing a paper on which she had repeatedly written the numbers.

I searched in vain for an army base in Melbourne, but couldn't find one, so I put the marker in Melboune Sayid came to Australia to help capture the leader of the terror cell, using his former friend to infiltrate. He convinced his friend that he would go with him on a suicide bombing mission. The friend commits suicide but spares Sayid when he learns of the betrayal.
